Suspicious person offers to bath residentAn unknown woman knocked on the door of an elderly Simcoe resident and said she was there to give them a bath and shower.Norfolk OPP say the suspicious woman showed up at the Hillcrest Road home on Saturday, Aug. 10 saying she was there at the request of the homeowner’s family members.The resident did not allow the woman to enter the home. The woman then left the property on foot while carrying a pair of slippers.Police were notified the following morning.Norfolk OPP would like to speak to the woman. People can also leave an anonymous online message at www.helpsolvecrime.com. Baseball equipment stolenBaseball equipment, a cooler, and spare change were removed from an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence of James Street in Simcoe.The theft occurred between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Aug. 21.Police are reminding residents to remove all valuables from their vehicles and ensure they are locked.Anyone with information regarding this incident should immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1 – 888 – 310 – 1122.
